I was never an email guy. Except for my current work at Rocket, where I interact with our users across countries, my work mostly revolved around Slack or Teams or good old WhatsApp!

Btw it's not that I have anything against email. My inhibition had nothing to do with the tool at all.. You see, before AI arrived, if you had seen me drafting emails, you'd be like, "bro, you need to chill. You can't spend this much time drafting an email."

I wasn't senior enough yet to send those one or two liners.. so that option was out, too.. Eventually, I'd end up spending so much time drafting the perfect opening and closing so I wouldn't sound too direct or disrespectful..

But no longer.. Now that we have all these fancy AI tools (Superhuman, Instinct ++) available, I just have to ask them to draft a response and boom.. do some minor edits and it's done..

You have no idea how much time and energy I used to spend overthinking and overanalysing a simple paragraph. All of that is just gone.. without me constantly worrying whether I sounded okay or not..

I still write a few non-transactional emails and non-task emails manually, but all those follow-ups with brands? No longer. If they can get AI to respond to human queries, I shouldn't feel too bad. No?! :)
