Got a call from Manipal Hospital, HAL today morning.
A 29-year-old battling leukemia urgently needed platelets, and I was an exact match.

Having donated platelets there a few months back, I was part of their donor list.

I would have donated again without hesitation, but I had just given blood (volunteer donation) a few weeks ago.

Blood Donation, Surat

Since there’s a mandatory 4-week waiting period after blood donation before you can donate platelets, I couldn’t help this time.

Here’s the bottom line: We need more donors.

In the world of blood donation, being a match is literally a lifesaver!

Along with swiping right—what if you could be the match that saves a life as well? Platelet and blood donations are crucial, but we often don’t have enough donors on standby.

The process is easy, and our bodies naturally replenish what we give.
As long as you maintain good health and hemoglobin levels, you’re good to go!

So, if you’re eligible, consider signing up and making a difference.

You never know—you might just #BeTheMatch someone’s been waiting for! :)
